Communication and Transparency
I will work to improve the communication within the city of Farmington. With this comes transparency and education of what the council is doing and the decisions that it is making. I will also work to involve the residents. As of recent, I am encouraged to see a greater participation and a desire to question the direction of the city by the residents. I will continue to build on this and work toward continued involvement on all levels. What improvements would YOU like to see?
Taxes and Spending
Farmington is a community that is growing and continuing to develop. How do we want to shape Farmington's future? I hope to bring more businesses to Farmington to help ease the tax burden on the residents. For years, our taxes have continued to climb, with little to no big business development to help curb these increases. We are a community that has a lot to offer and I look forward to finding ways to decrease taxes for the residents by critically analyzing our current spending and finding creative ways to fill the gap. What would YOU like to see your tax dollars spent on?
Public Safety
In any community, safety is a top priority. Farmington has experienced significant growth and with that comes an increase in crime. I would like to find ways to continue to keep our community a leader in safety by keeping our residents involved as well as supporting our law enforcement officers and fire fighters in all of their capacities. What public safety concerns do YOU have?
Reform
Farmington is experiencing a fair deal of "growing pains." With a large number of residential developments that are being built and the new members that are joining our community every day, I think it is time to take a step back and look at what the community wants for the future of Farmington. I look forward to helping the residents shape the vision of Farmington for the future and to hear the voices of it's residents and use those ideas and conversations to help us become an even better city.
